About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog!

My name is Natalie Whitehouse, I'm 20 years old and I've just finished my second year at De Montfort University in Leicester studying a combined honors degree in English Language and Journalism.

I've had my blog since 2010 under the name Tales From The Tilton however over the summer of 2013 I decided I wanted to write about more than football, especially music, so now I'm Watching From The Sideline allowing me to go beyond football and post about more topics.

Up until now I've just been blogging about football, namely about my team Birmingham City. But I thought I'd change it around a bit and start to blog about other things too, mainly music because alongside football that's another passion of mine.

I began writing just as a hobby really as it's always been something I've enjoyed. But I soon realised I wanted to make a career out of it, and after finishing university I hope to become a journalist or a writer in some form.

My blog is far from perfect, but I've had some positive feedback about it over the years so I guess I'm doing something right! And starting to blog about other areas other than football will hopefully mean I'll be writing about subjects that interest more people.

In addition to this I am part of the music team at www.demon-media.co.uk and I regularly contribute to the website, so head over there if you want to read more from me. A lot of my music-related features are posted on there.

I'm also up for writing for other websites, or helping with previews such as this one I did for our game against Ipswich Town earlier on in the season, so feel free to get in touch in any of the ways listed on the contact page.

I hope you enjoy my blog, feel free to have a look around and comment on/share whatever you want.

Thanks for taking the time to read it - it's much appreciated!
